Pomuni

Commissioned by Aldonk, Engin Engineering designed stainless steel platforms for Pomuni in Ranst (Belgium). Pomuni is a potato processor that supplies fresh and frozen potato products to retailers, wholesalers and food services under a private label.

The platforms are designed for a food-producing environment in which strict hygiene requirements apply. The whole is of course made of stainless steel, including provisions for draining rinsing water via collection pipes to an existing drain. The special feature of this design is that both dynamic screw conveyors and weighing units are supported on the platform. This places special demands on the stability and flexibility of the design. The whole is specially designed to make all components of the supply and dosing units accessible for cleaning and maintenance in a limited space around a building column.
